Working a winter season in the mountains is an amazing experience, combining hard work with great fun, and all in one of the most beautiful Alpine settings in the world. Coming together as a team to provide an incredible experience for guests is hugely rewarding and will develop your hospitality skills, providing a launchpad into future private work if desired and strengthening your CV.

FAQ

How long is the season?

Training would commence in the middle of November, with the season running to the end of April 2024. Positions are also available for the summer, following the completion of the winter season.

Do you offer training?

We offer a comprehensive 2-week training course, delivered by our experienced team, in conjunction with The London Academy for Household Staff and other external companies. We have worked with The London Academy since the company’s founding, to ensure our team are trained to the very highest standards, and team members will receive formal accreditation of their training. We also include accredited courses in Food Hygiene and Health & Safety, which can be useful additions to your CV.

Where would I live?

Our team are accommodated in our staff apartments here in Zermatt, which are spacious and comfortable, with Matterhorn views and located within a short walk to the chalets.

What is Zermatt like?

With 360kms of pistes, countless superb restaurants, incredible mountain scenery and a bustling atmosphere, Zermatt is an amazing place to live – just ask our year round team, all of whom have been lucky enough to call Zermatt home for years. Further information can be found on the below links:

Who would I be working with?

Our team is very international, with members hailing from all over the world; last winter we had staff from South Africa, Portugal, Ireland and Australia, to name a few!

What experience do I need?

We look for candidates with a background in hospitality, whether that be hotel work, restaurant service, events organisation or similar. Experience working on superyachts, in villas or private households, or previous chalet experience is particularly sought after.

Winter 2023-2024

We are currently seeking outstanding candidates to join us here in Zermatt for the upcoming winter season 2023-2024. Please see below for available positions. 

Unfortunately, due to government restrictions, we are only able to employ candidates who currently hold a valid E.U. or Swiss passport, or are already in possession of a Swiss B or C-level work permit.

Chalet Host

This is a diverse and challenging “hands on” role, assisting the Chalet Manager who has overall responsibility for ensuring the perfect guest stay, managing every aspect of the chalet operation and for the performance of each individual member of the chalet team. The main objective is to deliver a world-class hospitality service and to create unique and memorable holiday experiences for every client.
